I absolutely love this place. This is my dog’s regular vet. They are friendly caring polite and sympathetic when times call for it. And if you’re in a rough spot financially they try to help the best they can. I could not have asked for a better vet for my Chihuahua.

I have been taking my pets to Edgewood for many years. Everyone is great! Just before Christmas my dog had a suspicious lump appear on her neck. They were able to get her in pretty quickly. She typically does not like going to the vet, due to her anxiety and being examined, and requires medication in order to get through the examination. ( which typically still doesn’t work for her) however this time around we got to meet Dr. Lundquist for the first time. And she was able to perform a examination without my dog realizing she was getting examined. Dr. Lundquist understood my dogs bully breed behavior, and for the first time I could see my dog more relax during her vet appointment. This suspicious lump turned out to require a few follow up appointments to monitor the size during the treatment plan, and each time my dog became more relaxed and excited to see Dr. Lundquist. I really appreciate her taking the time to be patient with us.

*** September 2, 2024 Apparently Edgewood does not appreciate having me as a customer. I was written a letter asking me to take my business elsewhere. I'm sorry, I didn't know you were trying to monopolize the veterinary care in Gorham. I CONFIRMED EDGEWOOD IS MAKING IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR CUSTOMERS TO PRICE SHOP PRESCRIPTIONS, TO BUY FROM THEM AT A SIZABLE PROFIT MARGIN. On August 7th, I called your office to request approval for a 30-day prescription of Apoquel, which the doctor agreed to. I then asked for a price for 30 days of the medication, and your office quoted me a price that was $1-2 more per pill than Petmed. I informed your office that I would come in to pick up 5 pills until my order was mailed, which I did. I paid for the pills and reiterated my plan to order the remainder of the prescription from Petmed. I started Sunny on the prescription the following day. When we were down to 1 pill, I called Petmed and they informed me that they had never received the prescription request from your office. I asked them to resend the request to you by fax, which they did. Petmed also mentioned that you had a new policy requiring a prescription request to be provided by you and mailed in by me. I called your office again on August 20th, you pulled my file and confirmed that you had a copy of the faxed prescription request. You agreed to sign and fax it to Petmed. Petmed also faxed you another request. However, neither of these requests were signed and returned. As it stands, you have received 3 requests from me and 3+ requests from Petmed. Since you started your own pharmacy: 1. If it is true that you now require a prescription to be picked up and mailed out instead of faxed to an outside vendor for a 50% savings, this is a ridiculous and unprofessional policy that is designed to push business your direction. 2. If point 1 is true, I was never informed of this new policy or provided with a prescription to mail or fax myself. As a result, we have lost 21 days minus 5 pills (16 days?) as of today, in addition to the time it will take to obtain a new prescription, mail it, and wait for the medication to become effective.
