i was recently up camping in greenville which where i suspect my dog got into marijuana. at the time of calling the clinic i suspected the ingestion but wasn't 100% sure. my 1 1/2 year old dog was severely lethargic, limp (couldn't sit up straight, hold his head up, etc.), drooling, not drinking, not eating. i was 3 hrs away from his primary vet which i was trying to get ahold of to ask her opinion on if i should make the ride home. when i lost service with my dogs primary vet, i decided to call Greenville veterinary clinic sense we were headed that way. upon answering, i was met with an aggressive tone. i explained to the receptionist that i was not a client and was looking for an opinion from the vet, which she replied with "sense you are not a client we cannot do anything for you, we cannot diagnose your dog." i, myself, work in vet med, so i understood where she was coming from. i tried to re explain to her that i just want an opinion if it is something worthy to drive home for or not, or just the opinion. which i was met with "we cannot diagnose your dog again, we cannot do anything for you. go to holton. your not a client, we can't do anything for you." in a aggravated manner. at this point i was irritated, i hung up the phone. there was not even a clinic to go to in holton. do not go here. there disregard sick animals and they don't care.
This is part of the veterinarian's oath, "...benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering..." Our little "bambino" had suffered a cut to his ear, which was dealt with the previous day at an emergency clinic in Brewer. The veterinarian doctor explained that should bleeding reoccur we should follow up with a local vet. We did so at Greenville veterinary and found the attendant completely lacking in sympathy, uncaring, and possibly inept; but how would we know since she never lifted a finger to do anything while our little boy was bleeding in the lobby. My heart is with you all in the Greenville area who have no other recourse for Veterinary Care.
Very accomodating and excellent care for my dog!
Horrible experience with no care for our injured dog. I was advised by the veterinary assistant to get the medical supplies I needed from the local drugstore because I could do it myself and not have to basically bother the vet.
Terrible place! Bring your animal anyplace else!
