I needed to have my dog euthanized due to cancer. The staff and vet were the best. They were very respectful and comforting. Before the euthanization they explained exactly what to expect. I would highly recommend this vet service. Thank you to the staff and vet

Brought our dieing dog in to be saved. They did try to save him. Not their fault he died. However the way the vet delivered the news to us that he's going to die was not compassionate or professional. She was angry and told us very loudly I can't make it any clearer to you he's actively trying to die. 0 compassion. 0 professionalism. It still rings in my head how she spoke to me and my kids. Kids were already upset. She made it worse. She should be fired.

Our dog Winston had a run-in with a baby porcupine while on a hike up in Bethel over the weekend. After calling around, we were referred to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Mid-Maine and immediately made the hour drive to them. We did have to wait a little bit as they were short staffed and dealing with other urgent cases (like an emergency c-section where they were able to deliver all 8 puppies successfully!), but when it was our turn to be seen we never felt rushed or like we were just another number on their list. Everyone - from the receptionist to the nurses and doctor - was extremely friendly and helped us and Winston feel at ease. They took the time to fully explain the procedure and answer any questions we had, as well as providing an estimated cost up front so we knew what to expect. We left him knowing he was in good hands and came back to a happy, quill-free dog. We are not from the area but highly recommend this vet; if we ever run into trouble again, we know exactly where to go!

This vet is horrible. my cat went in because of puking they did x rays, blood work, ultra sound and sent me home with medicine for an infection. i took him to his regular vet two weeks later and he had cancer. the er vet had told me his blood work was perfect while my regular vet looked at the files they sent over and explained to me that his bloodwork they took was not perfect and showed that he was extremely anemic. my regular vet was able to see from the ER vet scans that my cat has cancer. how could the ER vet not catch that with their own scans but my vet could ? the absolute negligence of this place is out of control. i beg for everyone to not take their pets here. They also wanted me to do a bunch of tests that were thousands of dollars when i asked my reg vet about it he said he wasn’t sure why they would think my cat needs that done. They are scammers.
